Maria Haro Sly, Associate

is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at Johns Hopkins University and a consultant at CCA. She specializes on Green Finance; financial instruments, including green bonds, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment vehicles, carbon credit markets, and sustainable development funds, assessing their effectiveness, scalability, and social implications in the Global South. Haro Sly was executive coordinator at the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Argentina, Undersecretary at the Government of Tucuman, and worked as a consultant at the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB). She graduated from UNILA, Brazil, hold a master’s in international Affairs from UFSC (Brazil) and a LLM at the Silk Road School at Renmin University of China. She speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and intermediate Chinese.
