The UNEP’s State of Finance for Nature report highlights the need for $674 billion annually by 2050 to meet climate, biodiversity, and land degradation goals. This paper uses the capital continuum framework to explore financing stages for nature-based solutions (NbS), emphasizing diverse tools for projects from incubation to market integration. It identifies a major gap between incubation and implementation in the current landscape and proposes solutions to overcome investment barriers. The paper also showcases successful collaborations and financing models aimed at fostering nature-positive markets through mutual learning and de-risking.
